Phillies, outfielder Adolis Garcia agree to 1-year, $10 million deal

The Philadelphia Phillies and outfielder Adolis Garcia are finalizing a one-year, $10 million deal, ESPN confirms. The 32-year-old is expected to replace Nick Castellanos in right field, whom the Phillies have been shopping in the winter meetings. The Phillies are looking to shed some big contracts, and signing Garcia to a modest contract provides some low-risk, high-reward potential. Garcia struggled this past season, hitting .227, 19 home runs and 75 RBIs, while striking out 135 times, but he has racked up 141 home runs over the last five seasons. At worst, he will provide much-needed power in the back end of the Phillies lineup in 2025.
