Shreveport’s Max Chambers was voted by fans to be one of the two “Wildcard” contestants to round out the six performing in the Live Shows tonight.
After not being chosen by his coach, Michael Bublé, Chambers, 14, relied on the fan vote to make it to the Live Shows portion of “The Voice.”
Chambers performed twice tonight, first singing “YOUR WAY’S BETTER” by Forrest Frank and later “One Moment In Time” by Whitney Houston.
Bublé spoke highly of Chambers’ performances tonight and is happy that the fans voted to keep him.
Chambers said he has also grown a lot since his blind auditions, losing his braces and growing four inches during the competition and that he was ready for the finale.
“Being one performance away from my dream coming true is crazy,” Chambers said.
Bublé said he feels blessed to experience Chambers this early on in his career.
“You’re a beautiful human being, Max,” Bublé said. “You’re a great kid, and you’re a star.”
Fans can now vote for the winner here, and the vote will close 6 a.m. tomorrow. The winner will be announced tomorrow night, according to NBC.
If Chambers wins the whole show, he’d be the youngest winner in the history of “The Voice.”
