EXCLUSIVE: 20th Century Studios’ Scott Cooper directed, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, has set a PVOD and digital date of Dec. 23 on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango at Home and more with a 4K Blu-ray drop on Jan. 20.

In regards to the digital release, that’s a 60-day exclusive theatrical window, and on par with the long windows that Disney is known for.

Starring The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Strong as his manager Jon Landau, the movie chronicles the making of The Boss’ 1982 Nebraska album. Recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works – a raw, haunted acoustic record populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe. This was all before his global breakout with the Born in the U.S.A. album. White prepped several months for the role, authentically playing guitar. White received a Golden Globes nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. The movie was shot in New Jersey at several Springsteen landmarks, i.e. The Stone Pony club in Asbury Park.
