Sounds like Alec, Hilaria, and their brood of Baldwinitos may be moving on to greener pastures. After years of living in Amagansett full-time, Hilaria Baldwin has revealed the family may be ready for a “reset.” “We don’t want to raise our kids in the Hamptons anymore,” she apparently told Gurus magazine in an interview published Tuesday.
So where to next? According to People (the quote doesn’t seem to be included in the digital version of Gurus’s article), Hilaria told Gurus they’re “considering L.A.” But on Monday, “Page Six” claimed the Baldwins were house-hunting in Montclair, New Jersey. A source told the outlet that the couple, who have seven children together, have begun applying to schools in the area. Maybe they’re thinking of going bicoastal?
Whatever it is they’re planning, they may have some time to make up their minds. The family has been trying to sell their Hamptons house, which Alec bought in 1996 and renovated extensively, for years now — they first listed it for $29 million in 2022 and cut the price twice before pulling it off the market almost a year later, according to property records. They relisted it for $19 million last year. Alec even filmed a video hawking the property in an effort to find a buyer — and this time, someone finally bit. They accepted an offer on the house … but then they changed their minds and kept it, Alec told the New York Times in August, saying that the kids would “go crazy” if they moved and that he “never want[s] to leave.”
Apparently “never” lasted about four more months — in December, the couple reportedly listed their house for $21 million. Third time’s the charm, I guess?
