BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) – The City of Bloomington is buoyed on a recent series of successes at the Bloomington Center for Performing Arts as the BCPA and Grossinger Motors Arena announces three major performances.
Trisha Yearwood will come to the BCPA on March 19, Jake Owen will come to the BCPA on March 21 and the Goo Goo Dolls with special guest Neon Trees will be at Grossinger Motors Arena on Aug. 9.
The three shows continue a strong run of sold-out shows and record breakers at the venues.
Less than a week ago on Dec. 12, Illinois-native and Illinois State University alumna Jane Lynch sold out the BCPA. Before that, Theresa Caputo Live! became the highest-grossing show in the venue’s history, with just over $104,000 in gross ticket sales.
“These performances highlight the role our venues play in driving regional visitation and local economic activity,” said Anthony Nelson, Director of Arts & Entertainment. “Each successful show supports downtown businesses, hospitality partners, and reinforces Bloomington’s reputation as a premier destination for live events.”
