The Santa Barbara Tennis Patrons hosted the Santa Barbara Junior Winter Championships (a USTA-sanctioned event) this past weekend at Westmont College and the Santa Barbara High School tennis courts.

57 junior players from across the state of California, including 29 local players, participated. Santa Barbara–area players posted strong results, finishing as either champions or runners-up in 14 of the tournament’s 24 finalist spots.

The Santa Barbara Tennis Patrons was founded in 1971 by a group of community-oriented tennis players who wanted to ensure the growth and quality of tennis in our area. The Patrons is the oldest community tennis association in California. Our mission is to promote and grow the sport of tennis in Santa Barbara.
