This year is a time of great transformation for Jacob Elordi — literally and figuratively — as he wins praise and awards buzz for his startling turn as the Creature in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, a role that has already earned him Best Supporting Actor nominations from both the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards. Next he stays in the period mode working again with his Saltburn director Emerald Fennell and co-starring with Margot Robbie in a sizzling remake of Wuthering Heights. That one opens for Valentine’s Day, appropriately. And now he has returned to shooting the long-awaited third season of Euphoria.

We talk about all of it in this week’s edition of my Deadline video series The Actor’s Side.
Elordi describes the grueling 10-hour makeup sessions to turn himself into one of the most famous monsters of all time, probably the most famous, and he makes it his own opposite Oscar Isaac’s Victor Frankenstein, and under the direction of del Toro for whom he has high praise. We also talk about his upcoming turn as Heathcliff, a role made famous the first time by none other than Laurence Olivier in the beloved 1939 original. He says this one is uniquely itself through the eyes of Fennell, and he talks working with Robbie, calling this a “kissy” movie. No wonder Warner Bros has it slotted for Valentine’s Day. Plus I try to get as much info on where the third season of Euphoria is going, an event his fans have been waiting on for a while and one he is happy to come back to.
