CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Police Department announced on Friday that it is actively searching for a suspect in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Thursday evening.

A release from the CPD states that officers are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 41-year-old Nathanael Weston Wood of Casper.

The release states that at approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, Casper police officers responded to the area of East 12th Street and South Walsh Drive following a report of an assault involving a knife.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers located an adult victim who had sustained injuries consistent with a stabbing. Officers immediately rendered medical aid, and the victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

“The investigation determined the parties involved were known to each other and that this was an isolated incident,” the release notes.

Wood is described as being a white male, approximately 5-foot-9, weighing about 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his face and neck.

“Wood should be considered armed and dangerous,” the release states. “If spotted, do not approach and call 911.”
