You’ll have to wait several more years again, as Avatar 4 is currently scheduled for December 21, 2029!
Filming has already started on the next installment, as they started filming during two and three, which were filmed back-to-back, as they needed to film while the younger actors were still young.
Back in 2023, James revealed there will be a big time jump in the fourth movie.
“We see them and then we go away for six years and we come back,” he teased to People. “And so the part where we come back is the part we haven’t shot yet. So we’ll start on that after three is released.”
