Walhalla’s Water Department has issued a 24-hour boil water advisory after the completion of water line tie-ins.Monday afternoon, the department said water service is being restored and as the system repressurizes, some customers may experience low water pressure.The water department also said some customers may notice discolored or milky water.Officials said that condition is temporary and normal when pressure changes happen.The advisory affects customers located along West Main Street from South Chestnut Street to 4900 Highlands Hwy., including areas extending to Zion Road and Coffee Road, all of Hunnicut Drive, Rocky Knoll Road to Playground Road, Pepperidge Road, and surrounding areas. Walhalla says water customers are advised to boil all water for at least three minutes before using it.
