Holiday passengers experienced a slight hiccup Monday morning as screenings were briefly paused at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.Airport officials released the following statement about the incident:”Screening at Security Checkpoints A, B and C was briefly suspended after 8 a.m. due to a law enforcement investigation. Law enforcement has now given the all-clear. Screening and regular operations have resumed. We thank passengers for their patience.”Since the incident, things have moved smoothly at BWI-Marshall.With suitcases packed, four-year-old Zoey Stull, six-year-old Maya Stull and their parents are ready.”I’d like to go to Disney World,” said Zoey Stull, who said she wasn’t worried about traveling on Monday.Airport officials said more than 35,000 passengers departed from BWI-Marshall on Monday. I would have arrived in Los Angeles at 2:50 p.m. We are going to Disneyland. So, now I’m going to San Antonio.”Anna Lefevre said she didn’t have any major concerns, even while traveling with kids.The Stull family said ticketing and checkpoint lines moved quickly.”I was very concerned. I knew this was going to be a record-breaking year, so I’m excited. It seems to be doing good here at (BWI-Marshall). I’m relieved,” said Leah Stull.”We’re just excited to get to Disney World and celebrate our first Disney Christmas,” said Jake Stull.AAA said 2.4 million Marylanders are traveling over the extended holiday, including those traveling by train or driving.”Gas prices are good,” said Ragina Ali, with AAA. “Trending in Maryland about 10 cents less this year than last year.
