Beaumont — Beaumont police confirm a suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting in south Beaumont after police responded to a disturbance call.
No officers were hurt.
One suspect remained barricaded inside the home in the 4400 block of Diamond Street off West Virginia
Officers responded to a disturbance call at the home shortly before 8:30 Christmas night. They say when police arrived, shots were fired. One suspect was killed in the officer-involved shooting.
KFDM reporter Iman Abraham reported live from the scene and saw a body lying on the ground in the street near the home and yellow crime scene tape blocking the street.
Iman also reports hearing officers negotiating with people to come out of the home and she watched one woman come out.
BPD says one suspect remained barricaded inside and police were trying to talk that person into coming out with their hands up.
