The Seattle Seahawks announced five roster moves on Tuesday, four days ahead of their primetime matchup with the San Francisco 49ers to decide the NFC West championship and No. 1 seed to the playoffs.
49ers CB Lenoir again calls out Seattle Seahawks’ JSN
The five moves are:
• Wide receiver Cody White placed on injured reserve with a groin injury
• Offensive tackle Amari Kight signed off of the practice squad
• Outside linebacker Derick Hall reinstated following a one-game suspension
• Safety D’Anthony Bell waived
• Wide receiver Montorie Forster Jr. signed to the practice squad
The placement of White on IR could officially end his season, depending on what happens Saturday against the 49ers.
Players placed on IR must miss a minimum of four games. If Seattle beats the 49ers, they would earn a bye through the wild card round of the playoffs and have a maximum of three postseason games. But if the Seahawks lose, a trip to the Super Bowl would include a wild card game, which would make White eligible to return for the Super Bowl if he is healthy by then.
White, who suffered his injury in Sunday’s Seahawks win over the Carolina Panthers, has appeared in 30 NFL games since 2021, spending a pair of seasons each with the Steelers (2021-22) and Seahawks (2024-25). He has three catches on four targets for 90 yards and a touchdown this year.
Hall served his suspension last week for stepping on a Los Angeles Rams player in Seattle’s Dec. 18 win at Lumen Field.
Kight, an undrafted rookie out of UCF, has been with the Seahawks for three regular season games this year, including the past two with starting left tackle Charles Cross out of action with a hamstring injury.
The 29-year-old Bell was an offseason signing in March by Seattle and has appeared in 14 games this season. He spent the previous three seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
Forster is an undrafted rookie out of Michigan State. He signed with Seattle in May and competed in rookie minicamp as a tryout player, but was waived with an injury designated in August.
The Seahawks visit the 49ers at 5 p.m Saturday. Radio coverage on Seattle Sports will begin at 2 p.m. with the pregame show.
