Baby manatee freed from danger by rescue organization in Florida Keys – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

FLORIDA KEYS, Fla. (WSVN) – Rescue members from the Dolphin Research Center found a fan belt wrapped around a baby manatee Friday.

The rescuers successfully removed the belt from the calf before it could further injure it.

The calf was not badly injured, allowing it to remain safely in the wild with its mother.
