As one storm clears out of the area, the next moves in later this week…

As of 6:30 am Lee Canyon is reporting 3″ of new snowfall in the last 24 hours. Around .04″ of rain also fell at Reid International Airport on Sunday.

TODAY: We’ll see mostly sunny skies in Las Vegas with high temperatures reaching around 61 degrees this afternoon. The normal high this time of the year is 57 degrees. After starting the day with wind gusts 20-25 mph in the north/northwest valley, breezes will back down to 5-15 mph winds out of the south.

Air quality is ranked ‘good’ and pollen levels are ‘low.’

TONIGHT: Skies will become partly cloudy this evening with overnight valley lows around 44 degrees.

WHAT’S NEXT: Mild weather with temperatures slightly above normal continues through midweek, followed by our next weather maker. A disturbance will pass to the south of us later this week, mainly impacting Arizona with rain & mountain snow Wednesday & Thursday. Low pressure also moving in from the Pacific Northwest will drop south, increasing winds locally, dropping temperatures and bringing shower chances to the region.

This next weather maker won’t have a lot of precipitation, but mainly mountain snow showers are anticipated on Thursday.

Wind gusts will be around 30 mph on Thursday as the system passes through. Valley highs will also drop to the mid 50s for a few days and then slowly increase this weekend.

Beyond the 7-day, daytime temperatures soar back to the low and mid 60s in Las Vegas.
