Miley Cyrus is happy with her new fiancé, Maxx Morando, but she doesn’t like talking about it too much.
The “Flowers” artist, 33, attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards where she spoke with Entertainment Tonight about being in her fiancée era. The term, however, made Cyrus visibly uncomfortable.
“Oh, I get so cringed. I get so cringed out,” she said when asked if she likes calling Morando her fiancé. “I’m kind of the dorkiest with stuff like that.”

However, Cyrus didn’t deny that her relationship helped feed her creatively “Dream as One,” which is featured on the soundtrack for James Cameron‘s film Avatar: Fire and Ash. She explained that the acclaimed director makes his films about relationships, even ones that look different — such as ones involving aliens.
“To be able to show up joyful and experience love in my own way is just perfectly aligned,” the Hannah Montana alum added. “It just fell into my life at the perfect time. I feel like I’m in a good place to support the message of what this film’s about.”
As Star previously reported, the couple initially sparked engagement rumors at the Los Angeles premiere of the film when she was sporting what appeared to be an engagement ring. Cyrus later confirmed on “Good Morning America” that the drummer popped the question during a trip to Asia.

“I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered,” Cyrus said at the time. “And I’m telling you, I was so, so surprised.”
She was previously married to Liam Hemsworth from 2018 to 2020. In September, Hemsworth, 35, announced his own engagement to model Gabriella Brooks.
