Wildcats are built for power, focus, and instinct, and in theory, they’re a scary animal from nature. But when you look at them, they’re adorable—like adorable. Even when we get a glimpse of their ferocity, like playing in an intense game of tug-of-war, where giving up simply isn’t an option, they’re adorable.
In one interesting video, we meet a Scottish Wildcat locked in an intense tug-of-war, eyes focused and grip unbreakable. It may look like a Tabby house cat hanging outside with a rope in his mouth, but don’t let this wildcat’s intense focus fool you. Take a look at this!
On December 22, 2025, TikToker @ndublet shared a video of a really cute Scottish Wildcat living his best life while playing tug-of-war with a human behind the camera.
He’s a big cat, but looking at him, he still loves to play and be silly like any ol’ house cat. His whiskers puff up, and his adorably cute ears are flipped down. He means business, and the serious look on his face while he tugs and then wins and runs away is so charming. I love his little trot off with the toy still in his mouth.

In the comments, people were taken by this silly cat’s sweet face and how invested he was in winning this game of tug.
One person wrote, “I’m sorry, you can’t convince me he’s dangerous.”
Another shared, “So weird to think cats are just wild lil animals who just domesticated themselves.”
Someone else added, “That’s a wildcat!?! Maybe I should avoid Scotland ‘cause I would totally try to pet that thing thinking it’s just a normal cat.”
Other comments included, “That’s his now,” “The absolute determination,” “Not me wanting to hug him and give him kisses,” “I know he’s trying to be all scary and stuff, but I just can’t, look at this little face,” “We love a danger floof,” “If not baby why baby shaped?” and “That toy didn’t stand a chance.”

What Is a Scottish Wildcat?
While it looks like this sweet kitty is having the time of his life playing with a rope, you must look beyond his cute and fluffy face because he’s a lot scarier than he looks.
According to experts, the Scottish Wildcat is a native wildcat in the United Kingdom, the only wildcat there, and it’s considered an endangered subspecies of the European wildcat, also known as the Highland Tiger.
They look like pet cats with their sweet, fluffy faces, but Edinburgh Zoo reminds us that we can tell them apart by their unique features, including their bushy, blunt tails and striped coats. These guys spend a lot of time eating and sleeping, though, just like a house cat.
They’re such beautiful felines, but it’s probably not the best idea to invite them to a game of tug-of-war.
