Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska earned a confident victory in the second round of the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane with a prize fund of $1,206,446. This result underscores her form during her time at the Australian tournament.
Yastremska, who sits at No. 27 in the WTA rankings, easily defeated Canadian opponent Leylah Fernandez, ranked World No. 22 – 6-1, 6-2. The match lasted 1 hour 2 minutes, and the Ukrainian extended her advantage over Fernandez.
With the victory, Yastremska leveled the head-to-head record with Fernandez to 2-2.

In Brisbane, Yastremska has for the first time reached the Round of 16 of the WTA 500 tournament; now her opponent will be the world No. 6 – American Jessica Pegula.
