The United States Navy Concert Band is set to perform in Erie next month at the Warner Theater.

The touring ensemble will perform on Friday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m.

“The tour planning begins about a year out to try and line up their tour schedule with venue availability,” said Ken Vybiral, event organizer. “To be able to even secure a date is a pretty big get, but to be able to line it up in a year where we are celebrating America’s 250th birthday is really a special event for Erie. We are proud for this to serve as a kickoff event here in Erie.”

The United States Navy Concert Band tours regions of the country once every four years. This continues the tour of different branch ensembles stopping in Erie. The Navy Band’s Jazz Commodores performed in Erie 2023.

“I think it’s just a fantastic patriotic experience for all veterans,” said Vybiral. “To have them have the opportunity to come and celebrate, to stand when their service branch hymn is played, and belt out their anthem is always a proud moment at the end of each show.”

Tickets for the event will be available on Friday, Jan. 9, at 10 a.m. Tickets are free for the public and should be reserved in advnace. Each request will be limited to four tickets.

In addition to the performance, sponsors and VIP guests will be invited to a pre-concert reception from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the second-floor annex lounge of the Warner Theatre.
