“We are thrilled to be partnering with Motorola on the new moto watch,” Eric Chouhmat, Executive Vice President, Global Sales at Polar said. “Motorola has been developing innovative, lifestyle technology since the beginning, and together, we are able to create a device that blends style with wellness. Our performance tracking capabilities help users measure lifestyle impacts, assess physical conditions and recognize patterns. This gives users a comprehensive view of their well-being, right from their wrist.”
Powered by Polar, the moto watch helps consumers take advantage of wellness tracking solutions to receive fitness insights that are accurate, deep and available in real time. Specifically, users can:
Log calories to help with training, so they can better understand their daily burn. Smart Calories break down the amount of energy spent during a workout as well as their daily caloric expenditure. Users can also see the energy sources their body is utilizing to inform post-session nutrition.
Track workouts to improve physical fitness and achieve their daily Activity Goal. Whether it’s recording steps, measuring distance or documenting exercise, consumers can refer to their Activity Score and see how intense or effective their workout was in relation to their target. Plus, if users have been sitting for a while, they’ll be prompted to move with an Inactivity Alert.
Unlock sleep insights, including sleep score, recovery levels and a clear overview of light, deep and REM sleep stages. Consumers can also turn to Nightly Recharge™, an overnight recovery measurement that demonstrates how one’s body has responded to stress, so they can pivot accordingly and reach their training goals.
When wearing the watch, users can continuously monitor their heart rate and see how their body recovers from exercise and other stress factors. It also offers dual-frequency GPS—ideal for running enthusiasts—making it easier to track and record runs with more reliable distance, pace and performance data. If users need some extra help staying consistent, they can set customized goals and reminders, from hydration to medication alerts, on their moto watch.
“Health and fitness are essential parts of our consumers’ lives and a core pillar of our lifestyle-tech strategy,” Ruben Castano, VP of MBG Design, Brand & CX at Motorola, said. “With the moto watch, we set out to create a device that supports wellbeing through design, personalization and smart innovation. Partnering with Polar allowed us to combine their leadership in fitness tracking with Motorola’s design DNA, resulting in a watch that adapts to you, empowering a more confident, connected and balanced lifestyle.”
The moto watch can be worn all day as it features a 47mm, round face with a sleek, stainless steel crown and aluminum frame. Users can choose from various Pantone-curated bands,1 from silicone options to metal ones, and easily transform their look with third-party 22mm band compatibility.1 Prepped for everyday activities, the watch offers IP68 underwater protection with 1 ATM.3 Plus, durable Corning® Gorilla Glass® 3 helps protect it from scratches.
