Ronny Brede Aase, Marte Stokstad and Markus Neby have been revealed as the presenters of Melodi Grand Prix 2026.

NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, revealed that Ronny Brede Aase, Marte Stokstad and Markus Neby will present Melodi Grand Prix. Marte and Markus will present the show for the second year in a row, while Ronny returns to present the show for the first time since 2020.

Ronny shared his enthusiasm about being back:

“It’s really fun to be back in the MGP circus. Being asked if you want to join Marte and Markus in presenting Grand Prix, you obviously have to say yes!”

Markus stated that it has been exciting to follow MGP over the past few years, as recent winners like Alessandra and Kyle Alessandro have gone on to be successful outside of Norway.

“In a way, it raises the stakes for the contest, and makes it even more exciting.”

Marte Stokstad expressed her faith in this year’s artists and her fellow presenters.

“These are songs that I’ve been humming for a long time already. People just have to enjoy it, because there’s a lot of good stuff this year. It’s going to be a catchy program. And if there is a technical failure again, we will just do like we did in 2020: put Ronny in a spontaneous conversation with the mayor and Abid Raja, and it will be solved!”

Melodi Grand Prix 2026 will take place on February 28 in the Håkons Hall in Lillehammer, which hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004. The contest will feature ten finalists. Nine out of the ten artists have already been chosen, and they will be announced on January 19. The tenth and final finalist will be decided through a radio duel between eight artists, where the audience will vote for their favorite. This tenth finalist will be chosen on January 26, and the songs will also be released on that date.

Kyle Alessandro represented Norway at Eurovision 2025 with “Lighter”. He finished 18th in the final, scoring 89 points. Norway was 23rd with the jury, receiving 22 points, and 12th with the public, receiving 67 points.
