Julia Lepidi Alt 98.7 WDZH Detroit B96 AudacyJulia has exited as morning host at Alternative “Alt 98.7” WDZH Detroit and as midday host on nine of the company’s CHRs nationally.

She wrote, “Today was my last day with Audacy, and The Julia Show has come to an end. After nearly 15 years with the company, I’ve decided not to renew my contract. This wasn’t a hasty decision. I’ve known for awhile it was time for me to move forward. I’m good. I feel really clear-headed and energized to find the next situation for me to thrive in. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped get me to where I am today. Twenty-year-old me, who got a job in promotions by dancing on a table because they told us in broadcasting school to “try to be memorable”, wouldn’t believe I got to where I am now, the only solo female-led morning show in Detroit while simultaneously nationally syndicated in Top 40. And a massive thank you and hug to everyone who has supported or listened through the years. Whether it was 98.7 AMP Radio, B96, Church of Lazlo, or any version of The Julia Show.”

After starting her career at WBTI Port Huron MI, Julia rose to night host at then CBS CHR “98.7 Amp Radio” WDZH in 2015 and to morning co-host in 2018. After that station flipped to Soft AC a few months later, she moved to sister “B96” WBBM-FM Chicago in January 2019 hosting nights, middays and afternoons through February 2024. While remaining at WBBM-FM, she would relocate back to Detroit and become part of the “Church of Lazlo” show at the time heard in afternoons on Alternative stations in Kansas City, Dallas, Las Vegas and Detroit. When that show retrenched to just Kansas City in August 2022, she would move to her current role in mornings at WDZH.

While at one time being heard on fourteen of Audacy’s CHR stations, Julia had been heard through now on: “Kiss 98.5” WKSE Buffalo, “Kiss 105.5” WKXJ Chattanooga, 98.5 KLUC Las Vegas, “103.7 Kiss-FM” WXSS Milwaukee, “B97” WEZB New Orleans, “Live 101.5” KALV-FM Phoenix, “Q94” WRVQ Richmond, “98 PXY” WPXY Rochester, and “106.5 The End” KUDL Sacramento.
