Alexander Bublik has secured the seventh title of his career after winning the Austrian Open in Kitzbuehel.

The Kazakh defeated Arthur Cazaux in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, to hold the trophy aloft, marking his second crown in a week.

Bublik won the Swiss Open last weekend, defeating Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the final, and has now gone back-to-back in Austria.

He has emerged victorious in 17 of his last 19 matches, with the two losses coming in the French Open quarter-finals and the first round of Wimbledon.

With his triumph over Cazaux, Bublik has joined Carlos Alcaraz in an exclusive club on the ATP Tour.

Bublik has clinched three titles in 2025 and is now only the second men’s player to win more than two so far this season, after Alcaraz.

In the lead-up to Wimbledon, he entered the Halle Open and earned a statement victory over world number one Jannik Sinner en route to the final.

He played Daniil Medvedev in the championship match and overcame the Russian in three sets to win the title for a second time.

Following his victories in Gstaad and Kitzbuehel, Bublik’s title tally has now surpassed his best year of 2023.

In his on-court interview, Bublik said: “I can’t believe I did it as it was probably one of the toughest weeks in my life because coming from Gstaad, playing here, different conditions and raining.

“I am pleased I got through, and thank you [the crowd] for supporting me throughout the tournament.

“That was my 14th final, but I remember the first one like it was yesterday. It was very tough, but I wish him [Cazaux] all the success. I used the few chances I had, and I am happy to have won.”

After playing two clay tournaments, Bublik was scheduled to play at the Canadian Open, but has recently withdrawn from the event.
