Today, we are covering the back half of matches in the round of 16 at the WTA Adelaide tournament. With the Australian Open on the horizon, many big names have opted to skip Adelaide. That said, there are plenty of good matches and bets to be had. With that in mind, here are my best bets for the matches. Has anything paid off for you? Let me know in the comments section.

WTA Adelaide
Shnaider – Siniakova: Time 20:30

H2H: 1-1

Diana Shnaider and Katerina Siniakova kick off our coverage. The two of them will meet for a career rubber match, with the two of them being tied at one apiece after their two 2025 matches. Siniakova took their WTA Wuhan first-round match in straight sets, but Shnaider beat Siniakova at this very tournament in the first round after three very weird rounds. That match saw Shnaider take the first set 6-3, lost the second set 0-6, only to come back and win the third set 6-0. Both ladies are 2-1 on the year, but Shnaider lost to Madison Keys while Siniakova lost to Elena Gabriela Ruse.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Shnaider as a solid 2-1 favorite. It’s actually a little closer to 2.25-1, but that’s neither here nor there. Shnaider is 6-4 in her last ten matches, and Siniakova is 7-3. Shnaider made the quarterfinals here last year, but Siniakova has never made it past the round of 16 at Adelaide. I like taking Shnaider straight up at 1.67 on Pinnacle. I will say, though, for 2.43 on Betfair, taking Siniakova in the upset could be the smarter of the two bets if you favor the upset.

That being said, Shnaider winning is a value bet for sure.

Putintseva – Navarro: Time 22:00

H2H: 0-1

Yulia Putintseva vs Emma Navarro is an extremely interesting match to me. Putintseva was a semifinalist here at WTA Adelaide in 2025. Add to that the fact that the only match between the two of them went all three sets, encompassed 33 games, and two tie-breaks. Putintseva is also 5-2 on the year, while Navarro is 1-1 with a loss to Francesca Jones, who is No. 69 in the World.

Best Bet to Make

Navarro enters the match as the favorite. The average odds check in at 2.39 to 1.56 in favor of Navarro. While you can cash in by taking Navarro straight up, I think the previous match between these two was pretty telling. These women seem to match up very well, and you can make more money by taking the over on 2.5 sets than you can by taking Navarro straight. If you really think Navarro learned from the last time around and will take this match in straight sets, then you can risk it by taking Navarro 2:0 for 2.5 on Bet365, but I think it’s more likely this match heads to a third set, especially when you consider their Billie Jean King Cup match last year took place in September.

That being said, Over 2.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Valentova – Keys: Time 17:00

H2H: 0-0

Tereza Valentova vs Madison Keys is our featured match. Keys and Valentova have never met before, so we have to look to other indicators for our knowledge. One thing that should stand out to anyone is the fact that Keys won this tournament last year. This is the first time that Valentova has ever participated in this tournament. While she is 3-1 on the year, Jelena Ostapenko is her best win. While Ostapenko’s No. 24 World ranking is nothing to sneeze at, Keys is No. 9 in the World. Keys’ only loss of the year is to the World No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka.

Best Bet to Make

There is a reason why Keys is favored. Keys is probably the best bet remaining to win the tournament. One thing to take note of with Keys, however, is her awful run to end her 2025 year. She is only 5-5 in her last ten, and she had a four-match losing streak to end the year. She has had some notable wins since that streak, including victories over Diana Shnaider, McCartney Kessler, and Venus Williams. If you’re betting on Keys, I wouldn’t mess around with prop bets; I would take her straight up for 1.73 on William Hill.

That being said, Keys winning is a value bet for sure.
