“1000-lb Sisters” stars Tammy and Amy Slaton are sharing more insight into their feud.

The bad blood stems from Amy abruptly leaving town after Tammy’s skin removal procedure. Amy had been butting heads with her other sister, Amanda Halterman, and chose to go home to Kentucky rather than deal with Amanda.

During the season 8 premiere of “1000-lb Sisters,” which aired on Jan. 6, Tammy recalled feeling hurt when Amy left her side as she recovered from surgery.

“Last time I saw Amy, we got in this big argument,” Tammy said in a confessional. “Bottom line is she up and left me in Pittsburgh. I tried to tell her how I felt, how she abandoned me, and she just flipped it and said I was bullying her and all this stuff.”

Meanwhile, Amy was hurt that Tammy didn’t understand that she left because Amanda was “bullying” her.

“I wanted to tell her my side of things and have her be like, ‘Oh, I get why you left, Amanda can be a big bully.’ But then she started being a b—h,” Amy told cameras. “I know me leaving early upset Tammy but this is bigger than Pittsburgh. This is me telling you it’s not okay for you to treat me like this no more.”

Tammy doesn’t agree that Amy is bullied by the family.

“I don’t know why she thinks all of us are bullying her,” Tammy said. “Do we tease each other? Yes. Do we give her advice? Yes. Does she listen? Not really.”

Amy said she thinks she’s “better off” not talking to Tammy, while Tammy said she’s happy to give Amy the space she desires.

Tammy and Amy have had their ups and downs since “1000-lb Sisters” premiered in 2020. The sisters had a combined weight of around 1,000 pounds during season 1, with Tammy weighing 608 pounds and Amy weighing 406.

Tammy, who weighed over 700 pounds at her heaviest, has lost more than 500 pounds over the past several years. Amy has lost around 200. The sisters aren’t currently following each other on Instagram, so it seems that their feud continued after the cameras stopped rolling for season 8.

“1000-lb Sisters” airs on TLC Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. Episodes are available to stream on HBO Max the day after they air.
