Yahoo News reports that Elon Musk — the guy who took a sledgehammer to the Social Security Administration backend and stole all of our information — now says that it’s pointless to “squirrel away” for retirement because money will be worthless in 10 to 20 years.
Personally (and punnily), I think you gotta be nuts to listen to a soon-to-be trillionaire tell you not to “squirrel away” any more for savings.
But beyond that, I think he makes a great case for taxing all the billionaires out of existence and putting that money toward things that we all need… things like housing for all, education for all, healthcare for all, good infrastructure and a jobs guarantee, and public ownership of these magical technologies that are going to make money irrelevant for everyone but Elon.
It’s either that or face the reality that what he’s actually talking about is a real-life endgame of Monopoly where he’ll own all the properties and have all the money.
