Jimmy Kimmel displayed a number of the awards he has received over the years and made an offer to Donald Trump: He’ll give any one of them to him if the president pulls ICE out of Minneapolis.

Kimmel’s offer on Thursday was part of a riff on Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado presentation of her Nobel Peace Prize to Trump at the White House on Thursday.

Trump has complained about not receiving the Nobel prize, and Machado’s offering appeared to be one of trying to establish good will with the president after he dismissed the idea that she should lead Venezuela. After the U.S. removed Nicolas Maduro as leader of the country earlier this month, Trump rejected the idea of Machado succeeding him, even though she was awarded her Nobel for leading opposition to the repressive regime.

On his late night show on Thursday, Kimmel noted reports that some in Trump’s circle believe that the president’s lukewarm reaction to Machado was “because she didn’t give him her Nobel Prize.”

Kimmel noted, “So then she said, ‘Oh wait, you know what? I will give it to him. I will give him the Nobel Prize.’ And so he said, ‘Yeah, okay, then come on by.’”

Kimmel showed the White House photo of Trump grinning and holding Machado’s framed medal, with her standing next to him.

“Look at how happy he is,” Kimmel said. “Have you ever seen anyone happier than that for winning this prize he didn’t even win?”

Kimmel noted that “Trump loves awards. Giving him an award is the only way to get him to do anything, and with that said, Mr. President, I have an offer I think you’re going to find difficult to refuse — if you, and only if — you agree to pull ICE out of Minneapolis and put them back at the borders where they belong.”

Kimmel then showed some of his own trophies, including his Daytime Emmy, a Clio award, a Webby Award, and a Writers Guild of America Award. The final one was a mock honor. “Or best of all, I’m willing to hand over my 2015 Soul Train award for White Person of the Year.”

“The choice is yours. I personally deliver any or even all of these to the Oval Office in exchange for leaving the people of Minneapolis alone,” Kimmel said.

Earlier on Thursday, before Machado presented her medal to Trump, the Nobel Peace Center posted on X, “A medal can change owners, but the title of a Nobel Peace Prize laureate cannot.”
