EXCLUSIVE: Pamela Anderson is joining the Tucker Tooley Entertainment movie Somedays opposite Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton and Ariana Greenblatt.

Anderson scored multiple award nominations last year for her turn in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl. She also starred with Liam Neeson in last summer’s comeback comedy The Naked Gun, which grossed more than $102M worldwide for Paramount. The CAA- and Hansen Jacobson-repped actress recently wrapped production on Michael Cera’s feature directorial debut Love Is Not the Answer.

Brian Klugman wrote and directs Somedays, which follows a weary delivery driver who has months to live. He saves a brilliant but troubled teenage girl, and the two form an unlikely, life-changing bond that teaches them both what it truly means to live. Cameras are rolling in New Jersey on the movie financed and produced by Tucker Tooley with co-backing from Streamline Global, Eighteen 88 and Three Point Capital.

“Pamela Anderson is a grounding life force who brings warmth care, and authentic strength to her work,” Klugman told Deadline. “Somedays is about characters at an emotional endpoint, forced forward by truth, forgiveness and vulnerability, and casting those roles required actors capable of carrying depth, pain, hope, love and humor all at once. Billy Bob is incapable of a false moment. His face and eyes tell a story all their own, while Ariana brings an innate human understanding coupled with unrestrained talent and wry fearlessness. Pamela was the final, essential piece, and together, it feels like a generational conversation unfolding on screen with three artists bringing their full lives into the lens.”

Said Tooley: “Every so often, a script emerges that embodies the perfect combination of humor, empathy, and poignancy, and even rarer are the opportunities to bring these projects to life. Somedays is exactly such a project, a deeply human story rooted in empathy and unlikely connection, the likes of which I haven’t seen since Harold & Maude. The exceptional cast of Billy Bob Thornton, Ariana Greenblatt, and Pamela Anderson is unparalleled, and I am honored to collaborate with them in bringing this story to the screen.”

Producers for the movie are Tooley for Tucker Tooley Entertainment, Andrew Panay and Jennifer Gibgot for Ethea Entertainment, and Geyer Kosinski for Media Talent Group. EPs are Greg Renker and Gregoire Gensollen for Tooley Entertainment, Brian Klugman, Philip Waley, Molly Conners, Amanda Bowers, Andrea Bucko, and Nate Tuck for Ethea Entertainment.
