The city is urging residents to boil drinking water after a contractor damaged a water main line, lowering system pressure.
GOODING, Idaho — People living within the city limits of Gooding should boil their drinking water until further notice after city officials said a water main was damaged.Â
The city issued a boil-water advisory on Friday afternoon after contractors struck a water main, causing a drop in system pressure. Some residents experienced low water pressure, according to the city.
“We apologize for any inconvenience,” the city wrote in a social media post.Â
The city said the water is safe to use for other purposes, like showering or dishwashing.
The city is expecting test results by tomorrow afternoon.Â
