A new indoor golf facility is celebrating its grand opening in Morristown with a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for later this month.
The Morristown Indoor Golf Club at 48 Bank St. opened in November. The ceremony is scheduled for Jan. 29 at 1 p.m.
It’s the third location for owner Jimmy Vukanovich, a Morris County resident who transformed a favorite hobby into a growing business.
Vukanovich said he started playing golf in earnest during COVID-19 and was playing better than expected.
He qualified to play in the New Jersey State Mid-Amateur in 2022, a tournament for golfers 25 and older.
“I realized that if I wanted to play competitively, I shouldn’t stop playing during cold months,” Vukanovich said.
In November 2023, Vukanovich opened Montclair Indoor Golf Club, followed by a location in Millburn in September 2024.
The 3,000-square-foot Morristown facility features a putting green and three bays with Trackman simulators.
The club is open 24 hours a day for members, while non-member tee times are available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The most popular membership options include unlimited weekdays and a weekend option that offers two hours per month on weekends.
The facility operates as a PGA teaching facility with Christoff Els serving as the pro. More information is available at morristownigc.com.
