The Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears have one half of their divisional round matchup in the books, and it’s been a back-and-forth affair from Soldier Field. These clubs entered the break knotted at 10 apiece after trading field goals late in the second quarter.Â
Both offenses came out strong to begin the evening. Chicago took the opening possession and got on the doorstep of the end zone before Caleb Williams threw an interception to Cobie Durant on a fourth down. L.A. took possession and put together a surgical 14-play touchdown drive to build an early 7-0 lead, but the Bears responded. Williams and Co. bounced back nicely with a touchdown pass to DJ Moore to tie the game.Â
It was at that juncture when both defenses started to find their footing. Specifically, Chicago seemed to gain a knack for getting after Matthew Stafford, forcing three-straight punts after the opening touchdown and sacking him three times in the half.Â
The winner of this game will punch their ticket to Seattle to face the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. Who will that be? We’ll soon find out.Â
