Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet and left tackle Charles Cross left the team’s NFC divisional-round win over the San Francisco 49ers with injuries on Saturday and did not return.

Charbonnet injured his knee on a run to the left late in the first half, when he was hit by 49ers linebackers Dee Winters and Eric Kendricks. He stayed on the field, was attended to by trainers, then went into the blue tent and eventually the locker room. Cross injured his toe late in the third quarter.

The Seahawks ruled both players questionable before keeping them out. Charbonnet was seen riding a bike on the sideline in the second half.

After the game, coach Mike Macdonald said the team was optimistic that Charbonnet avoided structural damage to his knee, but that the running back would have further testing. He said the team held Cross out of the game out of caution with the score lopsided, although he added it’s unclear whether it could affect Cross’ availability moving forward.

Charbonnet entered the game having scored touchdowns in each of his previous three games, leading the team with 12 during the regular season, to go with 730 yards rushing. He had five carries for 20 yards Saturday before leaving the game.

Cross missed the final three games of the regular season with a hamstring injury, with Seattle winning all three. He was listed on the knee injury this week with hamstring and knee injuries, practicing all three days with a limited designation on Wednesday. Cross, 25, has started 62 games since being drafted in the first round in 2022 and signed a four-year, $104.4 million contract extension two weeks ago.

Cross’ backup, Josh Jones, missed Saturday’s game with a knee injury. Undrafted rookie free agent Amari Kight finished the game at left tackle for Seattle.
