Police are searching for the suspect in a stabbing at a Walmart in Fuquay-Varina early Monday. 

Fuquay-Varina police said they responded just after 1 a.m. to reports of a stabbing at the store at 1051 E. Broad Street. At the front entrance, they found a 31-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police have identified the suspect as 35-year-old David Pace. An arrest warrant for felony secret assault has been issued for Pace. Police said they believe the Walmart stabbing was connected to a previous altercation that occurred on Sunday.
