After a little over a year as Brand Manager of Audacy Sports “105.7 The Fan” WJZ-FM Catonsville/Baltimore MD, Scott Jameson will step down from the station on March 20.
Jameson joined WJZ-FM at the start of 2025. He previously has held roles as VP/National Content and Program Director of Beasley Media Group Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX Detroit from July 2020 until taking a voluntary retirement contract buyout in May 2024. He also spent eight years as Operations Manager of Cumulus Minneapolis, PD of Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS and VP/Classic Rock for Cumulus, was VP/Adult Rock for CBS Radio and PD of AAA “92.9 Dave-FM” WZGC Atlanta from 2009-2012, spent fifteen years as OM/PD of Classic Rock “Q95” WFBQ and Rock “103X” WRZX Indianapolis, and PD of “KY102” KYYS Kansas City.
In a memo to staff Audacy Baltimore SVP/Market Manager Tracy Brandys said, “Scott joined us one year ago and, during that time, did an outstanding job working with our talent to help transform THE FAN into a contemporary sports brand. His focus on content-rich programming and video strengthened the way our listeners connect with us on air, online, and across digital platforms. This was a difficult decision for Scott, as he truly loves working with 105.7 The Fan and our entire team. However, balancing work in Baltimore while his family remains in Detroit has been challenging, and with his wife’s recent promotion, it became clear that relocating the family to Baltimore would not be possible.”
Jameson added, “While this was a difficult decision, I’m incredibly grateful for my time at 105.7 The Fan. I will miss working alongside such a talented team and wish the station nothing but continued success. I’ll be rooting for you from afar.”
Audacy will begin hunting for Jameson’s successor in the coming days.
