Brown Hiking Trails shared an adorable “Retriever Fail” video featuring their sweet Golden Retriever, Junie, who seems to have forgotten how to retrieve. It’s the cutest thing you’ll see today, and we’re pretty sure the look on her face says it all.

In the short clip, Junie is standing in a pond after finishing up a swim, staring straight into the camera as if she’s wondering whether this situation is normal or if she needs a little help. Two Mallard Ducks are happily feasting on whatever they can find in her fur, and Junie looks completely torn about whether she’s OK with it or not.

In the video’s caption, Brown explains, “When they forget how to retrieve, LOL!” They shared the same video on Instagram and offered, “These were our Mallard Ducks at our pond; they have since flown off to bigger water, but they loved Junie, like everyone else!”

Sweet Reactions to the Patient Golden Retriever

Everybody mentioned how cute Junie’s reaction to the ducks was, noting her calmness and sweet demeanor. @Mama Witch pointed out, “Looking at you like, ‘Why would I retrieve my friends???!'”

@hendery20 shared, “So cute and your Golden is so chill!”

Over on Instagram, viewers had more to say. @Bruno Bonetti said what the ducks were probably thinking, “I came here for my beak massage…” @LeslieM67 shared, “Aww, Junie is freezing but loving it!” @I.Am.Dorothy.Maria added, “Audio on point. Junie’s throw-me-a-rock face, LOL!”

Another commenter pointed out, “No fail! That’s a well-trained Retriever. They aren’t supposed to act until the duck’s down.” @peterbrunone replied, “Exactly! Nothing to retrieve here; must be chill time.” @calypso_the_golden_aussie made a good point when they said, “Well, she DID retrieve ducks. Just in a different way…”

Another commenter said simply, “Everybody loves Junie!” and that would include us, too!
