Two people are dead and a third person is in the hospital after a shooting Monday morning in Stillwater, according to police.
The Stillwater Police Department says that at approximately 1:14 a.m., officers responded to reported gunshots fired near West Elm Avenue and South Husband Street.
After arriving at the scene, SPD says officers found two people, both adults, dead and a third victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
SPD says the third victim was transported to a local hospital.
Investigators say one person is in custody in connection with the shooting, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
No names have been released at this time.
