The clock is ticking…

08:00 local time (GMT +8)

Maths has never been my strong point, along with a lot of other subjects at school, but I make it that it’s just an hour to go until Honnold is due to start his epic climb…

Let’s look on the bright side

07:30 local time (GMT +8)

It’s looking a lot sunnier than yesterday morning in Taipei, when Honnold’s attempt was understandably postponed for safety reasons. I wouldn’t fancy going up a kids’ playground slide in the wet, let alone a skyscraper. It’s now not meant to rain until Tuesday so here’s hoping…

Will it be rainy or sunny for Honnold’s attempt?

07:00 local time (GMT +8)

The weather forecast says there’s only a 20 per cent chance of rain in Taipei when Honnold is due to start his climb. Currently, it’s looking very promising. Fingers and toes are crossed at this point.

Honnold’s climb postponed due to weather

Saturday – 08:45 local time (GMT +8)

It seems the weather didn’t get the memo about Honnold’s attempt going down today, as rainy conditions force the postponement of the attempt to Sunday, 25 January at 09:00 (local time).

A statement from Netflix reads: “Safety remains our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding.”
