First it was Jessica Pegula who took down good friend and last year’s champion Madison Keys to set up a quarterfinal bout with Amanda Anisimova, while in-form Italian Lorenzo Musetti proved too much for Taylor Fritz.

Two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner was too strong for Luciano Darderi, while Ben Shelton‘s match with Casper Ruud was moved onto centre court following Jakub Mensik‘s withdrawal due to injury, with Novak Djokovic getting a clear passage through to the quarters.
