Presumptive No. 1 NFL draft pick Fernando Mendoza and LinkedIn have entered into a partnership agreement after Indiana’s College Football Playoff championship win over Miami.

Per Jake Kring-Schreifels of Front Office Sports, Linkedin has confirmed it has a deal with Mendoza “in a more integrated capacity” and they are “excited to continue working with him moving forward.”

Mendoza’s LinkedIn profile has become a viral sensation because he routinely updates it in ways that are rare for a superstar college athlete.

For instance, after Mendoza officially declared for the NFL draft on Jan. 23, he updated his profile picture on the site.

Mendoza also updated his LinkedIn bio after leading the Hoosiers to a 27-21 win over Miami in the College Football Playoff Championship Game.

The specifics of the partnership are unclear at this point. Mendoza has said that the only apps on his phone are YouTube and LinkedIn, in part because it allows him to avoid outside distractions.

Given that Mendoza is projected by most analysts to be the top pick by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2026 draft, LinkedIn getting in on a partnership with him now as he looks to become a star in the NFL seems like a wise investment.

Mendoza will likely continue to keep the world updated on all his triumphs and tribulations through his LinkedIn profile, so it’s a win for everyone.
