The Cavaliers cannot escape the injury bug.
Cleveland power forward Evan Mobley has a left calf strain and will be sidelined for one to three weeks, the team announced Tuesday.
Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland has been out since Jan. 16 with a toe injury.
Mobley sustained the injury in Monday’s 114-98 win over the Magic, where Mobley scored 20 points with nine rebounds.
The reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Mobley was in the midst of another impressive defensive season, averaging two blocks and 0.9 steals per game.
On offence, Mobley is a key piece of the Cavaliers’ system, averaging 17.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and four assists per game.
The 24-year-old Mobley is in his fifth NBA season out of USC. He was drafted third overall by Cleveland in 2021.
The Cavaliers will start their stretch without Mobley when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
