HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. (WCYB) — Dozens of nursing home residents have been displaced after a water line burst in a Hawkins County nursing home, officials said Thursday morning.

According to Sheriff Ronnie Lawson, a fire caused a water line to burst at Signature Lifestyles Assisted Living in Rogersville.

Dozens of residents have been displaced, according to Hawkins County Mayor Mark DeWitte.

Residents were evacuated and moved to East Rogersville Baptist Church Family Life Center to keep them safe and warm.

The mayor added there is about two inches of standing water inside the nursing home.
