Last year, Walt Disney World began testing a modified version of a single-rider line at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Instead of a line for parties of one guest, this test created a line for parties of two guests. This test is now being conducted at Disneyland.
According to Cast Members, the line screen switches between double and single, sometimes staying on single rider for longer periods of time depending on park traffic. When the sign is switching between the two, one or two guests can enter the single rider line at the entrance to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. This line runs on the left side adjacent to the traditional standby line, but skips the preshow scene with Hondo Onaka.
Using the two-rider option, Cast Members first take a larger party from the regular standby line. If the party is a group of four, the Cast Members search the single rider line for a party of two. If the larger party is five people, the Cast Members find a single rider as normal.
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is an attraction where guests enter the cockpit of the famous Star Wars ship and act as either a pilot, gunner, or engineer. Each cockpit seats a total of six guests, with guests completing the same job sitting across from each other.
A second storyline is being introduced for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run this year. First announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2024, the new experience featuring Din Djarin and Grogu is coming to the attraction on both coasts on May 22, 2026, alongside the release of the film, The Mandalorian and Grogu.
