Marvel fans expecting to get a first look at the full first trailers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday at next weekend’s Super Bowl may have just had their superhero flame dampened a little. According to Deadline, neither of Marvel Studios’ huge 2026 movies will be getting any screen time during the big game, with Disney’s attention reportedly focused on spots for Pixar’s Hoppers, The Mandalorian & Grogu, and Toy Story 5 instead.
There have been many rumors of at least one of Marvel’s upcoming movies getting airtime during the attention-grabbing commercials released during the Super Bowl. In the past, this has included several Marvel movies like Deadpool & Wolverine, which broke several records when the trailer landed during the game. However, it seems there will be no Marvel Cinematic Universe trailers coming this year.
That suggests that the idea of Avengers: Doomsday’s run of teasers released over the festive period leading to a full trailer during the Super Bowl was not correct. A similar situation has arisen for Tom Holland’s next outing as Peter Parker, and with Spider-Man: Brand New Day being set for release on Jul. 31, 2026, it seemed like a trailer release next weekend was a given. So far, there has been no official trailer release for the movie, although several AI fake trailers have been touted online as the real thing as people grow more and more impatient.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Could Still Get a Surprise Trailer Drop

Although it is bad news that an Avengers: Doomsday trailer seems to be off the cards, things may not be as bleak as they seem when it comes to Spider-Man: Brand New Day for those who remember when the initial trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps debuted last year.
Many expected Marvel’s First Family to get their first teaser during the Super Bowl last year. Instead, the 97-second trailer was released on Feb.4, in the week leading up to the biggest sporting event of the U.S. calendar. The Fantastic Four opened on Jul 25, almost the same date as Spider-Man: Brand New Day will open this year, which could mean that Marvel are skipping the Super Bowl but will be making a surprise drop of the Brand New Day trailer in a couple of days instead.
Naturally, it is always hard to gauge exactly when these things will happen. In recent weeks, however, there have been an increasing number of reports claiming that the Brand New Day trailer has been approved, mixed, and is ready to go. Usually, this means that a trailer’s release is imminent, and Marvel Studios will want to put out their first teaser quite soon in order to allow them time to share at least two full trailers before the July release.
