Liam Rosenior now has four wins from four Premier League games, and it is becoming quite clear which players in his Chelsea squad he feels are indispensable when it comes to picking up points.

There are a handful of players who have started all four games in the Premier League for Rosenior. Robert Sanchez in goal, Trevoh Chalobah, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez have all started the four games.

Then, there are a few players who have started three and came on against West Ham to change the game. Pedro Neto was excellent against old side Wolves, and he is one, as is goal machine Joao Pedro currently.

Cole Palmer would have started every game had he been able to, and the same probably goes for Reece James, whether that be in right-back or midfield. Another to start three so far is impressing Ian Wright.

Ian Wright praises consistent Chelsea star Marc Cucurella

Cucurella has started six of Rosenior’s nine games, rested for matches against Charlton and Pafos, matches in which Rosenior felt he could rest his key players. He came on at half-time against West Ham.

The left-back is showing his importance again and is clearly enjoying life under Rosenior. On Saturday, Cucurella got an assist for Palmer’s third goal of three, and it earned praise from Arsenal icon Wright.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Wright said: “Cucurella is someone, I really like Cucurella. He’s always a seven or an eight out of 10, brilliant play down the left side for Cole Palmer to get his hat-trick.”

That’s seven wins from nine in all competitions, only losing to Arsenal in both legs of the Carabao Cup semi-finals. But the feel-good factor is certainly back at Chelsea, and the belief of a top-four finish, too.

Recently, Cucurella was asked what was different between Rosenior and Enzo Maresca, with the Italian clearly well-liked at Chelsea. But Cucurella was surprisingly open, saying there is more confidence.

“[Rosenior and his staff] give confidence that not all of the players had before. We are at a good point. We can improve a lot of things for sure, we don’t have time to train but we are trying to understand ideas.”

Hopefully for Rosenior, Cucurella and the rest of the Chelsea squad, they can make it five wins from five in the Premier League on Tuesday night when Chelsea host a Leeds side that demolished Maresca’s men.
