Long before he set foot on a college basketball court, NBA scouts and experts had already deemed Cooper Flagg the best player of his class and the future first-overall pick.

He fulfilled that destiny and prophecy after just one year with the Duke Blue Devils, being way ahead of the rest of the pack and looking like a ‘can’t-miss type of talent.’

That’s why he may not have been that motivated to actually focus on his degree. When asked about his college major, the Maine native admitted that he didn’t have one.

Cooper Flagg didn’t have a major at Duke

“I was undecided, undeclared,” Flagg explained. “I didn’t have a major, but I took a bunch of basic classes, some finance classes, trying to learn about money and stuff. So that was really what I was studying my first year.”

That was smart, as he’s about to become a millionaire. Other than that, it’s easy to understand if he had bigger or more important things going on in his mind while at Durham.

Of course, education is important, but it’s not like college athletes are known for their dedication to their academic work. If anything, most stars might take the same route as Flagg.
