SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – An investigation is now underway into a reported homicide, according to Sioux City law enforcement.
The Sioux City Police Department says officers are actively investigating a stabbing that took place on Monday, Feb. 9, at around 6:13 a.m.
The stabbing reportedly took place at 1003 Pierce Street. Officers say a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sioux City Police say the victim’s name is not being released at this time, pending the notification of family members.
A release from the Sioux City Police Department states, “Preliminary information indicates this was an isolated targeted event. There is no ongoing threat to the public.”
Sioux City Police say they will release information once it becomes available.
