The Commercial Diplomacy Enterprise (CDE) is the U.S. Department of State’s new coordinated approach to bolster support for American companies and U.S. economic interests abroad.
The CDE aligns existing mechanisms and provides new tools for advancing U.S. commercial diplomacy priorities to deliver more wins for U.S. businesses and – in turn – create more jobs for American workers.
Among the new tools included in the CDE is the State Department’s first-ever global database to track commercial diplomacy cases in real time, and new streamlined processes for elevating cases for support from senior leadership in the State Department and across all federal agencies.
Through the CDE, the State Department ensures American companies, from small businesses to major corporations, have the backing they need to enter new markets, increase U.S. exports, and land deals that create jobs at home and make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous.
