CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A portion of Interstate 26 westbound is closed after a police cruiser was hit by another car on Tuesday night.
Charleston Police posted on its X page that the portion of I-26 westbound between the Septima P. Clark Parkway and Mount Pleasant Street exit is closed after a Charleston Police cruiser was hit while it was blocking traffic for a disabled vehicle.
Police say that two officers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Drivers should seek alternate routes.
