PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — An iconic sculpture in Center City is on the move.
Creative Philadelphia says that the city will temporarily remove Robert Indiana’s AMOR sculpture from Sister Cities Park on Wednesday.
The sculpture will be fully restored to repair natural fading and deterioration caused by weather and sun damage.
It’s expected to return to its location across the street from the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in May.
The Spanish version of the city’s famous LOVE sculpture was first brought to Philadelphia for Pope Francis’ visit back in 2015.
