The Aces are coming off a 70-68 loss to the Washington Mystics on Friday. Reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson did not play due to a sprained wrist she suffered in the team’s loss to the New York Liberty on Tuesday. There is currently no timetable for her return.
The Valkyries defeated the Indiana Fever, 80-61 on Wednesday, improving their record to 10-9. Veronica Burton led the team with 21 points in the win and Kayla Thornton was right behind her with 18.
The two teams last met on June 7, a matchup in which the Valkyries secured a 95-68 victory.
